This is a full day excursion that will enable you to visit the different touristic sites in the Gambia. The trip is one of the most unique, exciting and touching experiences that one would always think of. This excursion will give you a taste of the real Gambian atmosphere.

Our first stop will be at the Batik and Tie and Die factory were you will be briefed on how our local fabrics are transformed into beautiful and designed colours of your choice. You will be shown how the indigo blue colour is being extracted from the dry leaves of the mangroves.

Then we will stop at the Serrekunda Market, the said market is known to be the first biggest market in the Gambia. Walk to the recycling centre, timber market and pass through the general market.

At the recycling centre, you will be given the opportunity to know how the skillful and talented blacksmiths recycles the empty cans into our local cooking utensils such as cooking pots, bowls, metal cooking spoons, charcoal pots and local hand iron etc.

we will then have a wonderful walk into the general market to see how local men and women go about their daily shopping and lives in order to meet their end needs.

Then we will go to the Abuko animal market, which is renowned for selling all of the locally bred cattle, goats and sheep.

After the animal market, we shall drive to the local villages to have direct contact with the local families and experience the real Gambian village life.

Our next stop will be Paradise Beach for lunch, relaxation and swimming.

Finally we will go to the biggest fish market of the Gambia: Tanji Fish Market. Here you can see how the local fishermen go about their daily fishing and learn about the different methods of preserving fish in the Gambia.
